Lawrence Sáez is Senior Lecturer in Comparative and International Politics in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) where he is also Director of the Center of South Asian Studies.

informative and enlightening

Mr. Saez clearly has a deep well of knowledge of the region from which to draw and it is on full display in this description of the history and present day status of SAARC. The conclusions at the end of each chapter are effective at focusing the historical data and Saez offers welcome opinions in each one. All in all the mini-tome is an very effective way to quickly fill gaps in one's knowledge of the background of this institution. Highly recommend.
